5 Self-Care Tips for Parents that are Stuck at Home

Parenting can be really exhausting at times. However, parenting during a global pandemic is a whole another story. Everyone can agree the mental and physical exhaustion is times 100! 1) Remove time for Exercise

Exercise can do wonders for the mind and body. But it can be difficult to remove time for it when you are busy homeschooling and taking care of the kids. So start small. Remove 15 minutes a day for a walk. In a week or two, gradually move on to 30 minutes of basic body workouts such as squats, pushups, crunches, and burpees.

2) Get a Restful Night’s Sleep

3) Schedule ME Time

When stuck at home, it can almost feel impossible to pamper yourself and do something you like. However, you must remove time for yourself at least once, and if possible, twice a week.

Start by implementing a daily 10-minute meditation practice. This will help you stay more forced at daily tasks and significantly cut down stress. You can also leave your children with your partner and go for a walk to your nearest park or head out for a drive. Doing this will help you get away from the chaos and clear your mind.
